One inexpensive way to decorate our homes is using a fabric. By just using any kind of fabric, you can add more color, charm, and a different ambiance in your personal space. It may be a simple fabric but can give you're a home a sort of finished look right after. It can also soften the look or add a romantic touch to any room and on any budget. Decorating with fabric is truly a great but inexpensive way to spruce up your home.

Here are five tips for decorating with fabric.

  1. Use a solid and stripe pattern.

If you are still unsure of which one looks best for your room or if you are still a little hesitant to go crazy on fabric designs, the easiest and no-fail guideline to follow is to use stripes or solids. Make sure that each of the fabrics shares the same color. Finally, spread the fabric across your room. As a general rule, use the solid-colored fabric on the majority of the space while adding the stripes to complement the solid colors. For instance, you can put an olive colored fabric on the majority of the couches or curtains in the room and add a fabric dining chairs that have olive and white stripes design.

  1. Add some throw pillows.

Throw pillows are good designs that you can add to your beds, couches, outdoor chairs, or any corners of your room. They are inexpensive and so easy to make. Moreover, you can do a lot of designs and change them with the seasons or depend on the mood you want your rooms to be in. They also add some functionality wherever you place it because they add comfort.

Adding a muslin, especially to your bedroom, can automatically soften your rooms appeal and a romantic touch. It's a great way to add a natural and romantic statement in your sleeping area. You can just twist and wrap yard of muslin on a curtain rod and simply tie a knot. You can also add some ribbons or stylish cords to add more elegance to the whole look.

  1. Create an artsy table cover using existing fabrics or quilts.

You don't need to buy new fabric to spruce up your living quarters if you have existing fabrics with you. If you happen to have a colorful quilt and extra fabrics lying around, make it into a layered table cover. If you don't have one, you can also try to go to thrift shops and look for your quilt of preference or buy fresh fabric and then make it into a quilt yourself.

Whether you are moving to a new home or simply redecorating your current one, chances are, you would want to add more color and life to it. Go for bright colored fabrics or multi-colored ones like floral-printed fabrics. They can easily add color to your room effortlessly. Also, the color and print of the fabric itself are enough to give your home a boost of design.
