There are many reasons why your skin, particularly your face and neck can experience sagging. While it is true that as time goes by, the skin will naturally sag, there are still plenty of things we can do to make sure that it will be delayed or avoided altogether.

The dreaded turkey neck, what many people use when they see the skin on the neck sagging is one of the things that people find unpleasant in their appearance. While the cause of this may be old age, others experience this due to their diet and such.

If you want to avoid it, check out some of these practical tips that you can do so that your skin would not sag, especially in the neck area.

  1. Do some exercises for your face and neck – you might think that exercise is only for the body, but did you know that you can do exercises to prevent your neck skin from sagging? This exercise will tone that area and the good thing is that you don’t need a lot of time to do it. You can even multi task and do it while in front of your computer. There are many exercises you can do, such as the chewing motion or rolling your lips over your teeth. Do your research and find the one that you think would best fit you.
  2. Make sure you have a healthy diet, and drink a lot of water – a dehydrated skin loses its elasticity and firmness, making the skin sag. When your diet is mainly fried foods and foods full of sodium may cause your skin to become oily and bring damage to your skin. Instead of those kinds of food, load up on antioxidant-rich foods instead. Eat more fruits such as avocados, grapes, passion fruit, pears, watermelon and all kinds of berries. For snacks, a perfect choice would be Brazil nuts, as they can make your skin more elastic. Stop eating, or reduce your intake of alcohol and soda so that your skin will keep looking young. Also, a dehydrated skin loses its elasticity and firmness, making the skin sag. So make sure you drink plenty of water, at least eight glasses a day would be ideal. This is to ensure that your body would be able to flush out the toxin and that your skin has enough moisture to keep from being dehydrated.
  3. Invest in a good neck cream  - another thing you can do is add a neck cream on your skin care habit. There are many products in the country that contain ingredients to help your skin become more supple and elastic. The perfect tightening cream for your neck will not only keep your skin hydrated but also fill the wrinkles and fine lines, making your skin have that youthful glow that you are looking for.

It’s never too early to start taking care of the skin on your neck. Even just small things can help make your skin look young. Start the habit today and you will surely reap the results of your efforts in the future.
