Stretch marks are worn as a badge of honor by some women, while others don't love them. If you want to make your stretch marks appear less noticeable, these tips will help. (They're all really good for you, anyway!)

  1. Stay hydrated

We all know we need to drink more water. It's essential to consume water to keep the skin hydrated and thus healthy. When you drink plenty of water, the skin cells are able to work at optimum, enabling them to function better and carry out reparation effectively. This reparation will, therefore, help your skin to heal from the tear caused by pregnancy that causes stretch marks. Remember to take at least eight cups of water every day to achieve optimum healing results.

  1. Exercise

Exercising frequently is another effective method of getting rid of post-pregnancy stretch marks. Any form of exercise, even yoga and walking helps strengthen the muscles of the stomach, hips and thighs, which are the three areas where stretch marks mostly appear. When these areas are strengthened, they become tighter, thus allowing for easier repair of the stretch marked skin. Choose any form of exercise that appeals to you, be it walking, yoga, running, weightlifting, swimming or Pilates. Whichever exercise you choose, ensure that you stick with it faithfully so that you can achieve optimal results. Ease your start by having one session in a week, gradually increasing the sessions until you can do it daily. In a short while, your stretch marks should be gone.

  1. Use stretch mark removing creams

Stretch marks can also be removed through the application of specialized creams which are created for the specific purpose of removing stretch marks. These creams can be purchased locally at a chemist near you, or online at https://www.monicasbeauty.com/best-stretch-mark-cream/. These creams incorporate ingredients like beeswax, avocado oil and sunflower seed oil. These substances heal the damaged layers of the skin while keeping it soft and supple. These creams should be applied in the morning and evening or in the manner prescribed by the doctor in order to achieve the optimal results.

  1. Moisturize the skin

Keeping the skin moisturized is one of the most important tips to keep the skin healthy. Dry skin is at higher risk of damage, and it slows the rate of repair in case of damage. Moisturizing keeps the outer layer of the skin soft and supple maintaining skin elasticity. This, therefore, allows the deeper tissues of the skin to repair itself getting rid of the stretch marks. Choose your moisturizer carefully, as some may contain ingredients which may harm the body when they are absorbed into the body. If you do not know the specific ingredients to look out for, just opt for a product made with natural ingredients.

  1. Eat healthily

Keeping a healthy diet will keep not only your skin but your entire body healthy. Dieting keeps the body slim and the skin healthy. Avoid consuming any junk or processed foods as these do not have any nutritional value to the body. Opt for plenty of fruits and vegetables, and low amounts of meat. Steer clear of sugary drinks like soft drinks and instead take plenty of water. Water has additional benefits as had been highlighted earlier. Dieting and applying the other four tips should help you get rid of the stretch marks in no time.
