The benefits of DIY rose oil are plentiful. This is a great way to use flowers that you've purchased from the store or picked up in your garden for free and turned them into something useful!

Like other oils, diy rose oil can be used as an ingredient in all types of recipes: it can be used by itself or mixed with other ingredients to make all kinds of personal care products.

Making your own rose oil is quite simple: here's how it's done.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup of rose petals
  • 1 cup of coconut oil
  • ½ cup of olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Put oil and petals in a jar. Use pan with hot water to melt coconut oil in the jar.
  2. Jar should sit snugly on top of the pan but doesn’t come into contact with the water at any point.
  3. After melting process completed, lift jar from the pan. Crush roses with a wooden spoon in the jar.
  4. In a week, repeat this process few times more, than strain roses while pouring in to the cup.

DIY rose oil can be used in many different ways! You can use it by itself or add to other oils and mix with flowers like lavender, chamomile, or peppermint. Rose is also a common ingredient in soaps & balms for dry skin.
