You know Fall is here when coffee shops start rolling out Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Hot beverages are all over the place during fall, but there's always a little extra excitement about the PSL, which features spices like cinnamon, cloves, and ginger. Even though those spices boast a number of health benefits, your standard pumpkin spice latte isn't all that healthy. Today we are going to share a few ways that you can make your Pumpkin Spice Latte healthier.

Get a smaller size.
When you arrive at your favorite coffee shop, consider ordering a size smaller than you usually do. This will give you the same taste of your favorite beverage, but will save you a few calories for the day!
Use almond milk.
Whether you make your own Pumpkin Spice Latte or get it from your favorite coffee shop, you can get it with almond milk to cut back on calories. If you aren't a fan of almond milk you can always go for a non-fat milk option.

Skip the whip.
Another healthy hack that can make your favorite drink healthier is to skip the whipped cream on top. While it may be delectable, it is extra calories that you may not necessarily need.

Lower the sugar.
If you are ordering at a coffee shop, consider asking them to use less pumpkin syrup. Not only will this save you calories, but it will also help you cut back on your sugar intake! You can still enjoy the flavor of pumpkin spice, it just won't be as potent as it usually is.

If you want to make your own Pumpkin Spice Latte, you can! This recipe uses pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin puree, almond milk, coffee, vanilla, and a liquid sweetener of your choice. You may find that you like your concoction better than your usual coffee order.

Of course, there's something to be said for just indulging every now and then too. These are just a few ways to make your PSL healthier on the regular.
